You can achieve this currently by following these steps:

    1. Navigate to: ‘VoiceQ Pro>Global>Timeline’

    2. Select the option ‘Allow high zoom level’

    3. Navigate to the timeline zoom slider

    4. Decrease zoom level to its minimum

You will then have a full overview of all data in your timeline.

  5. VoiceQ crashed; now I can't open my file

While working on an audio description project, my Voice Q completely froze and my Mac started making a repetitive ticking sound. I had to manually restart my computer. Afterwards, I could not reopen my project. I got an error message saying "could not open file - file in incorrect format. File may be corrupted, truncated or in wrong file format." Really hoping I don't have to start over. Any ideas?

  6. Merge lines function

It would be useful if there was a way of merging lines on VoiceQ.
Instead of having small lines of text next to each other like this:
    line 1
    line 2
    line 3
We could have an option that would merge the 3 lines in 1, and keep them in place by inserting a blank space on the line.

  10. Option to Automate the VoiceQ speaker while using the record macro

To complement the VoiceQ macro recording feature, It would be great to have the option to auto mute the VoiceQ speaker (production sound) while using the recording macro. So the actor would not hear the production sound while recording ADR if he prefer not to.

  11. VoiceQ custom macro key to initiate Recording in Pro-tools

It would be really helpful to be able to custom assign any keyboard keys to initiate recording in Pro-Tools. For example, I always use the "3"number key to record in pro-tools, When I go to VoiceQ to select my next cue, I often automatically press the "3" number to initiate recording (because I am in Pro Tools mode ) but VoiceQ does something different. So I have to select my cue again, click in the Pro-tools window and then hit the "3" number key again. This is not very efficient when doing ADR.

  13. New line should be assigned to the last character by default

This could also be a preference but I often work with one actor at a time, so It would make more sense that every time, I create a new line, to automatically assign it to the last character. This would be faster and the worst case scenario I just have to change the character when needed.

Sometime I do SFX spotting sessions within VoiceQ, so I create an "SFX" character to take notes of all the SFX works that need to be done. I do the same with "Foley" notes. This would save me a great amount of "character selecting"…

  14. Individually disable streamer and bips for each cue

Often when recording ADR, the ADR cues are really close to each other, for example you can have three lines in a 10 secondes time range. Sometime the actor wants to record 1 line at the time, but other time they want to record all lines together in one shot. But often the second and third set of streamers and bips get in the way while recording. I think It should be easier to toggle them off for each line within voiceQ.

I know there is an option to trigger only the current line in VoiceQ but this is not…

  16. "Movie position from last saved" preference

When opening many VoiceQ sessions in a day, it is counterproductive to resize and move the movie to the desired screen monitor each time. It would be good if the movie position and size was saved with each session.

But a "movie position/size from last saved" preference would be even better. For example, often I like to have my movie 2/3 of the size of my third screen and use Skype on the last 1/3 of the screen. This set-up would be save in my first VoiceQ session by checking "movie position/size from last saved". So all my movies from…

  17. Would it be possible for VoiceQ to send MMC without sending MTC

When recording multiple takes of a single script line, It is easier to have the cursor returning at the same position before recording another take. This is easily done in ProTools by turning off the 'insertion follows playback' feature.

Unfortunately, when 'Output to MMC port' is enabled, the 'insertion follows playback' feature is broken. The cursor never returns to his original position after playback. I believe this has something to do with Protools receiving MTC from VoiceQ.

VoiceQ should be able to output 'MMC' without sending MTC. This would allow VoiceQ to send 'locate command' to Protools without breaking the 'insertion…

  18. Could we have a sidebar on the right of the screen?

Could we have a sidebar on the right of the screen (running the full height) that lets the actors know what characters are coming up next?
This is the one feature that some other Rythmo Band systems have that our actors complain about when we are using VoiceQ.
It is typically just a black sidebar with the character names in white scrolling down the screen - once the character name hits the bottom of the screen, their dialogue begins moving from right to left towards the finishing post.

  19. I would like to see the ability to import .srt subtitle files.

We very often have the option of having subtitle files when dubbing a movie or cartoon. I'd love to see a simple way of importing these files to populate VoiceQ.
There are certain constraints i.e. there is no character information that comes with srt's, however, the in/out points will be ok (I've already tried importing files that have the xx:xx:xx;xxx format rather than the xx:xx:xx:xx and VoiceQ handles them admirably.
So, all that is required is a little jiggery-pokery regarding formatting conventions, then it'll be up to the used to assign characters.
    It'll save a hell of a lot of…

  20. Movie follow words and lines movement

When dragging a line or a word, the movie should move accordingly. This would make the words syncing process much faster. Ideally the movie should align with the beginning of the word or line being dragged.
